Introduction

The American Medical Society For Sports Meeting, or AMSSM, was founded in 1991 to fill a void that had existed in sports medicine since its inception. The founders, who are among the most recognised sports medicine specialists, recognised that although there were multiple physician organisations supporting sports medicine, there was no forum specifically for primary care non-surgical sports medicine physicians.AMSSM provides a forum to foster professional relationships among sports medicine physicians and to advance the discipline of sports medicine through education, research, advocacy and excellence in patient care.

Description

The 33rd Annual Meeting of the AMSSM will be held 12-17 April 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. With the theme "Medical Leadership in Sports Medicine," the conference advances the discipline of sports medicine by providing a forum to foster professional relationships among sports medicine physicians with education, research, advocacy, and excellence in patient care.
