Intro

The China Medical Device Regulatory International Conference (CIMDR), organized by the China Center for Food and Drug International Exchange (CCFDIE), featured comprehensive insights from key officials of the National Medical Products Administration, including the Equipment Registration Department, Equipment Supervision Department, Science and Technology Cooperation Department, Equipment Review Center, and Standards Management Center. The officials provided a thorough analysis of China's medical device regulatory framework, offering detailed presentations on the country's reforms in medical device evaluation and approval systems, standard management, traceability system development, industry progress, and international cooperation.

The conference aimed to promote awareness of China's medical device regulatory policies, facilitate international exchange on regulatory frameworks and technical specifications, foster experience sharing and mutual learning among medical device evaluation departments globally, enhance the scientific and technical proficiency of evaluations, instill a sense of compliance in enterprises, facilitate communication between enterprises and government entities, and drive the application of new technological standards and achievements. All these efforts contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the safety and effectiveness of medical devices.
