Intro
The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a major decision planned, proposed, deployed, and promoted by President Xi Jinping with the aim of advancing high-level opening-up in the new era. As a significant initiative for China to actively open its market to the world, the CIIE is a practical action to support economic globalization and promote the construction of an open world economy. Since its inaugural event in 2018, each edition has received high attention from the Central Committee and the State Council, with President Xi Jinping personally participating and delivering keynote speeches.
Event Arrangements
The supporting activities for the sixth CIIE are categorized as follows:
Policy Interpretation: Various forms of activities organized by central and state organs, local governments, industry organizations, research institutions, etc., including policy releases, authoritative analysis, in-depth interpretation, trend analysis, etc., to promote open cooperation.
Matchmaking and Signing: Activities organized by trade delegations, purchasers, exhibitors, cooperation units for investment and exhibition, CIIE supporting units, industry organizations, etc., including demand releases, supply and demand negotiations, signing ceremonies, etc., to promote international procurement.
Product Showcase: Activities organized by participating enterprises, especially Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders, including new product launches, promotion of new technologies, and showcasing new services. This aims to continuously build the "CIIE Release" platform and enhance international influence.
Investment Promotion: Activities organized by local governments, industrial parks, investment promotion agencies, etc., including presentations on the business environment, provincial and state exchanges, and industry matchmaking seminars. These activities aim to promote two-way investment and industrial cooperation both domestically and internationally.
Cultural Exchange: Activities organized by local governments, showcasing intangible cultural heritage, Chinese time-honored brands, pedestrian streets, tourism-related exhibitions, and public performances with regional or ethnic characteristics. Encouraging other countries (regions) to conduct promotional activities, world-class displays, and exchanges related to intangible cultural heritage to promote cultural exchanges.
Research and Release: Activities organized by international organizations, industry organizations, research institutions, professional institutions, etc., including industry seminars, research forums, sharing of research results, etc., in line with the theme and positioning of the CIIE to promote innovative mutual learning.
