The 20th China Heart Congress

Intro

The China Heart Congress (CHC) is jointly organized by the Chinese Medical Association and the National Cardiovascular Disease Center. Formerly known as the Beijing International Cardiovascular Disease Forum, it was renamed the China Heart Congress in 2010 with the establishment of the National Cardiovascular Disease Center. Minister of Health, Chen Zhu, officially announced the establishment of the National Cardiovascular Disease Center at the 2010 China Heart Congress. The tasks assigned to the center by the Ministry of Health include: 1) formulating a national plan for the prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases, conducting policy research on cardiovascular diseases, and compiling guidelines, standards, and relevant norms. It also involves establishing a high-level academic committee comprising professionals and experts from both domestic and international spheres. 2) Establishing a national monitoring and follow-up information system for significant cardiovascular diseases and their environmental and behavioral risk factors. This system will conduct annual situation analyses, release prevention and control reports, and predict future trends in morbidity, mortality, disease burden, prevalence of risk factors, and development. 3) Building a prevention and control network for cardiovascular diseases, demonstrating and promoting effective prevention and control techniques and measures, and exploring health management service models. 4) Conducting training activities in the basic, clinical, preventive, and management aspects of cardiovascular diseases, promoting international exchanges, and organizing academic events.

Conference Content

This conference is jointly hosted by the National Cardiovascular Disease Center, China Circulation Journal Limited, and the Beijing Kaiqi Cardiovascular Public Welfare Foundation. The theme of the conference is "Healthy Heart, Healthy China." China has entered a new stage of transitioning from rapid development to high-quality development. Faced with the increasing incidence and mortality of cardiovascular diseases, the cardiovascular prevention and control industry must shift from focusing on scale growth in the past to a higher quality development strategy, emphasizing prevention and primary care.

 

The conference delves into the trends and research on cardiovascular diseases in China, utilizing data from national medical quality monitoring, sampling surveys, and collaborative platforms among various specialties. It comprehensively and systematically reflects the current status of medical quality in the field of cardiovascular diseases in China.

 

The conference, through a combination of online and offline methods such as invited reports, special reports, group discussions, hot topic debates, case discussions, surgical demonstrations, and satellite meetings, will disclose the top ten clinical and epidemiological research in cardiovascular diseases for 2022, the top ten basic cardiovascular research for 2022, and the global and Chinese hospital cardiovascular disease technology impact report.
